Meet Kaden, a sweet teen who loves to tell jokes and currently has a huge passion for chess! Kaden received his first chess set at the age of 11 and is proud of what a great player he has become. His current favorite professional player is Magnus Carlson, and he hopes to one day go professional himself and beat him in a tournament! Another of Kaden's long-standing interests is building things with wood, Legos, or anything else he can find that gives him a creative outlet. He tells us that he once built a trident himself out of metal and that he can put together a 1,000-piece Lego set in just a couple of hours’ time! When it comes to what he wants in a family, Kaden dreams of having a really involved Dad, one who might teach him to ride a motorcycle and help him build even bigger, more extravagant projects!
Kaden has a really long list of other passions that you might also share with him, including outdoor paintball or Nerf Gun wars; archery; hunting; football; playing board and video games; swimming, fishing; camping and playing baseball and basketball. He's a diehard Golden State Warriors fan and reports that he has finally gotten tall enough that he can grab the rim and almost dunk! Kaden has grown a lot over the past year, both emotionally and physically, and loves to work out whenever possible. Though it doesn’t always come easy to him, Kaden works hard in school and lists Science, Math, and English among his favorite subjects. He’s super proud of himself for recently making his school’s honor roll! Kaden loves animals, is looking forward to traveling and celebrating holidays with his Forever Family, and simply longs for permanency and a sense of belonging.
This deserving young man is hoping to find a family consisting of both a Mom and a Dad, or possibly a 2 Dad family, who are easy-going, patient and fun! He thinks it might be great to be an only child if possible. Caregivers with a strong understanding of trauma, grief and loss would be an excellent match for him.
