A day in the life of this sweet young man might start out with breakfast, followed by an episode or two of his favorite cartoons, Puppy Dog Pals and Ultimate Spiderman. After that, Austin will likely be ready to go outside and greet the day! He’ll probably want to show you how fast he can ride his bike and then run around the yard pretending he’s a superhero and saving the world! Practicing kicking goals with his soccer ball and then scouring the yard to see if he can find a frog to play with are likely to happen as well.
If you’re hanging out outside and need some help with gardening, Austin is your man for the job as he really prides himself on being helpful to others. He loves to grow things and is exceptionally proud that he once grew a giant cucumber plant!
After a morning spent outdoors, Austin is likely to be ready to eat some lunch and will be hopeful that one of his favorite meals of hot dogs, hamburgers or mac and cheese, is on the menu. A little worn out by now, Austin might be ready to spend some time inside painting; playing a bit of Minecraft or Roblox; reading books about animals, helping you bake some cookies, or doing some extra math homework because it’s his favorite subject and he’s really great at it!
Austin’s Permanency Team is seeking a patient and nurturing family that is active, fun and easy-going, while still providing a high level of calm, structure and clear expectations in their home. Caregivers who are not overly authoritative and who have a significant understanding of trauma as well as experience caring for children with some special needs will be a tremendous fit for this amazing young man. Austin’s team is interested in hearing from Idaho families only, with a preference for those who reside in the Eastern part of the state. Austin is considered a legal risk placement at this time.
